	St. Philip’s Academy is full of talented students with bright smiles and big hearts. In providing a variety of role models for our children, we welcome volunteers to get involved and make a difference. No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted… How Can You Help? Guest Reading – Spend time in a lower school classroom sharing your favorite story Guest Speaker Program – Speak to students about your career, school experience or special topic of interest Externship Program – Host our 8th graders for a day of job shadowing Mock Interviews for 8th Grade Placement – Help prepare our students for Secondary School interviews Lead an Enrichment Activity – Teach a twice-weekly activity about a particular subject/topic (i.e. robotics, stock market) After-school Tutoring – Work with students in reading, writing and math After-school Sports Coaching – Assist the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams Guest Chef – Share your favorite recipe with a class in our Teaching Kitchen (use fresh vegetables and fruits from our rooftop garden) Gardener – Work with our students in planting and harvesting Guest Judge – Use your knowledge and experience to judge Debates and Science Fair projects Join the Events Committee – Help secure sponsorships, attendees and auction items for our events We also encourage individuals and companies to consider providing pro-bono or in-kind services to the school and/or students.
