St. Philip's Academy Parent Communication April 1, 2010

No Aftercare: April 16th

Due to a Professional Development event for faculty and staff, the school will be closed early on Friday, April 16th. School will close promptly at 4:00pm; there will be no activities or aftercare on this day. Please make preparations to pick your children up no LATER than 3:45pm on that day.

Book Fair

The Spring Book Fair will be held next week from Monday, April 6th through Friday, April 9th. The fair will be open during normal school hours and will close at 6:00pm. If you are interested in volunteering for this event please sign up at the front desk while space is available.

Redcross/SPA Walk

The first annual St. Philip's Academy Walk will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010. All proceeds will be split between St. Philip's Academy and the American Red Cross. Please visit the front lobby for additional information.

7th Grade Placement Information

Dear 7th Grade Parents:

Warmest greetings! Now that we are close to the ending of our 7th grade year it is time for us to start preparing our future Eighth graders for the placement process. Below you will find a list of upcoming events and information from the placement office.

April 19th: The 9th Annual Independent School fair begins with a panel discussion. It is very important that 7th grade parents make every attempt to be there as we will have representatives from a number of schools prepared to answer your questions. The event begins at 5:00pm with a meet and greet in the dining hall. All students must be in full dress uniform. They will remain at the school until it is time for the panel discussion. A meal will be provided for all students staying for the panel discussion.

April 20th: The Independent School fair begins at 9:00am in the gymnasium. Parents are welcome to attend. The event runs from 9:00am-12:00 noon, Please make every attempt to be there.

	The ERB's are Coming!


	St. Philip's Academy students are schedule to take the ERB's in April. The testing will be held from Monday, April 12 through Thursday, April 22nd.
